golden valley contemporary kitchen

A truly customized space for a really wonderful family. The existing space was tired and lacked the necessary storage and functionality for an amazing baker and grill master to spread joy and love through food shared with their family and friends. During an initial design meeting, they noted that their cast iron pan was stored in the desk downstairs because they didn’t have room in the kitchen.

We think this is a terrific example of taking a house that you work around, and making it a home that works for you. Not only does the island have tons of storage for things like cast iron pans, but it is unique and extremely functional: as a baker that is a little height-impaired, the nice low butcher block top is just perfect for her to hang out with her family, lean a recipe against the back support of the uppermost counter tier, and enjoy a new life.
