With the empty nest on the horizon, being a father of nearly adult children is constantly a learning experience. You hope the lessons that came naturally during shooting hoops or playing catch, coaching their teams on the field, or camping in the Boundary Waters, leave a lasting mark as they mature. Whether its together as a whole family,or one-on-one, Sid cherishes spending time with his children, Mitch, Lily, Harry and Aidan. Sid’s sensitive and childlike personality helps him connect with not only his own kids, but those he still coaches. Encouraging young people to bring out the best in themselves and make the most of their experiences provides him a tremendous sense of satisfaction. Sid lives in Excelsior in a home that no longer contains a square inch that has not been remodeled, and many areas more than once!
Rob’s desire to learn began at the University of Minnesota and continued with earning his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Colorado. Since then, he’s continued building his knowledge of architecture, design, construction and technology through research and continuing education.
Communication with his clients is of paramount importance, beginning with the very first meeting or phone call. Once the needs and wants of the client are discovered through our in-depth lifestyle-based interview, Rob’s goal is to translate those desires into architectural expression through hand-drawn and computer-generated renderings.
As a NARI Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler, Rob remains active in the remodeling industry, participating in continuing education. Rob’s design work has won local and regional design awards and has been featured in various publications including: Midwest Home, Mpls/StPaul Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens: Kitchen and Bath Ideas.
Moving from design to the construction process is seamless and worry free, as communication changes from envisioning what could be to what will be. Rob pays attention to all the little details that make a difference in your remodeling experience.
Rob and his wife Renee met each other while both were working in the remodeling industry, and they married a little over a year and a half later. They live in Minnetonka with their three boys, Mateo, Tavio, and Leo.
Rob, innovative and original.
Emily, talented and dynamic.
While Emily may be newer to the field than Rob and Sid, she brings tremendous knowledge and passion for sustainability and green initiatives. With a Bachelor of Architecture and minor in Sustainability Studies from the University of Minnesota, Emily is constantly on the lookout for ways to make your renovations or new home more eco-friendly. Architecture and Interior Design can be a positive environmental industry if you don’t lose your focus on the options. Some big, some small, they all make a difference, and she delights in helping our clients make those choices.
Having more than one option is one of the fundamental reasons we think our clients are so happy with the finished results of their projects. Emily is never shy to weigh-in and/or suggest alternatives that may not have crossed anyone’s mind. Emily delights in staying abreast of all the new styles, colors, textures, and architectural compositions being realized in this ever-changing field and helping to incorporate that beauty into your home. We want your home to be a reflection of you, but sometimes, you need a set of great mirrors to help you see it come to fruition.
Emily and her high-school sweetheart Clint have been together since they were sixteen. They love to travel and enjoy the great outdoors, whether that be camping in the North Woods or hiking the mountains of Norway. Emily is especially close to her sisters, and enjoys spending time with them at concerts, dog parks, lakes or trying out the newest places to eat. Clint and Emily share their Eden Prairie home with their dog Summit.
